Sara Thorp
Controller
Sara Thorp was born and raised in rural Georgia. She moved to Colorado in 2007 to start her career in Public Accounting and attain her Colorado CPA license after graduating with an Associate’s in Criminal Justice and Bachelor’s in Business Admin with a focus on Accounting. Sara has been in the industry for 20 plus years and loves helping people.
Sara spent the first part of her career in Public Accounting with a focus on small business and tax. This is where she realized that she loves what she does. Sara has a natural knack for it and loves seeing people breathe a sigh of relief when they realize they can focus on the things they are good at and leave the numbers to her. Sara spent nearly 10 years in the corporate world before taking a 3-year break to work in ministry as the Executive Director of her church, Save the Cowboy, where they raise quality beef to give away to those who need it.
Sara loves spending time with her two dogs, riding her three horses, and adventuring in the mountains. She is a volunteer at a few organizations within her community, all faith-based and equine-based.
What you might not know: Sara loves obstacle course races, has competed in body-building competitions, and hosted a podcast (Cowboy Conversations by Save the Cowboy) with her church’s cowboys.
