Jimena Mohedas

Jimena prides herself on her innate ability to relate to her clients and provide zealous representation even when the odds are against them. As a former criminal defense attorney Jimena is accustomed to an adversarial system that requires deft negotiation skills and passionate advocacy for her client’s rights. She understands that every client is facing a unique set of obstacles and approaches each one with the strategy best suited to accomplish each client’s objectives.
Jimena grew up in New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado – Boulder, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Minor in Italian Language studies. Jimena then attended Boston University School of Law where she graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2020. Jimena received the Humanity in the Law prize for her extensive work with marginalized and underrepresented communities. After completing her law degree Jimena returned to Denver to be closer to her family, sunshine, and the beautiful mountain views.
Jimena began her career as a Public Defender with the Office of the State Public Defender in Arapahoe County. As a Public Defender Jimena learned the importance of empathy when representing clients. Jimena litigated hundreds of cases from inception to resolution, including a variety of jury trials. Jimena is not one to shy away from litigation but has learned that sometimes the best outcomes are the ones negotiated prior to trial.
Jimena is the daughter of Argentinian immigrants. Throughout her career Jimena has specialized in the representation of immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities. Fluent in Spanish, her ability to speak with clients in their native language has immensely impacted her ability to build trust and assure clients that they are being heard and understood.
What you may not know: Jimena is an avid cook and loves to try new restaurants. Food is a central part of her Latin heritage, and she takes every opportunity to feed the people she cares about. Jimena is an enormous futbol fan. Her favorite team is the Argentinian National Team, who she has seen play live on half a dozen occasions. On the weekends Jimena loves spending time with her partner, catching up on the latest reality tv shows, and trying out new recipes.
