Ariel Winter’s Mom Will Fight For Her Daughter

Over a month has passed since “Modern Family” star, Ariel Winter, was removed from her mother’s custody due to claims of physical and mental abuse. Ariel’s mother, Chrisoula Workman, vehemently denies the charges and has made some accusations of her own. Allegedly this real-life drama started when Chrisoula walked in to see fourteen-yea-old Ariel and her eighteen-year-old boyfriend in the guest bedroom.

Fanning the flame of this family feud was Ariel’s older sister and temporary guardian, Shanelle Gray. Shanelle is now seeking permanent guardianship of her younger sister, though Chrisoula claims that she has only recently come out of the woodwork at this opportune time. Would she be standing by her sister if Ariel didn’t just get a big raise?

This she-said-she-said debate will come to a head at the hearing scheduled for November 20. And Chrisoula is getting ready. She sought the counsel of a family law attorney and has begun collecting declarations from friends and other reliable sources. One of these is from Ariel’s doctor, who has been treating her since 1998. It supports Chrisoula’s statement that she loves Ariel, would never abuse her, and that she “always tried my best to always protect her and do what is right for her.”
